  Plot Details for Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam Revealed

  It's gonna be a Camp Rock kind of summer. We've already told you that Disney Channel has major plans for the launch of Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, and it involves not just the movie, but also a soundtrack album and a tour featuring Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato and some of their Camp Rock friends.  Now we've got some more details about the movie itself.

  Where to begin?
  
  The sequel to Camp Rock will premiere Friday, September 3 at 8pm on the Disney Channel.  Mitchie (Lovato) is back at Camp Rock for another summer of fun and singing, and The Boys from Connect 3 are there as well, with Shane (Joe Jonas) eager to pick up where he left off with Mitchie before he and The Band embarked on a world tour.  Other returnees include Caitlyn (Alyson Stoner), Tess (Meaghan Jette Martin), Peggy (Jasmine Richards), and Ella (Anna Maria Perez de Tagle), as well as Mitchie's mom (Maria Canals-Barrera) and the camp's high-energy owner, Brown (Daniel Fathers).

  Just across the lake, however, sits Camp Star, run by Axel (Daniel Kash), who used to be in a band with Brown and holds a big grudge against his old friend.  In fact, Camp Star boasts state-of-the-art equipment and slick quarters, and when Axel starts snagging several of Brown's best counselors, Camp Rock finds itself on the verge of extinction.  Fortunately, Mitchie has a plan -- a plan to both keep Camp Rock open and to defeat Camp Star in a summer's-end Final Jam showdown.
